Hi Maggie it`s Ellen, just had a read of the messages about "can the H R T effects wear off". It`s been a very very long time years, and it`s sad that after all these years women are still not listening to us and still suffering through taking this drug, it`s harder to stop it because the symptoms are so much worse, I wish I could give ALL women a copy of the book just so they could educate them selves and come to realise just what they are putting into there body. For me the implants are the worst but I started on tablets, patches are just as bad along with the creams.
I hope I have given hope and a very small insight to H R T...
DO NOT TOUCH IT... Love Ellen...

my grandmother and mother both died with breast cancer my GP sent me for yearly check ups, my auntie died with breast cancer and the hospital told me my chance of getting breast cancer went up to 80%. I had an oopherectomy to reduce my chances to 50%. I went back to see my consultant MR Herod (aptly named) he told me that he was going to put me on HRT until i was 52. just to get me over the menopause. when I questioned him that this may run in the family and I had this operation to reduce my chances of breast cancer he informed me that I would get bowel cancer (which is not in my family) (scare tactics) I imediatley made an appointment with my GP and asked him if this was the case. His reply was if you were my sister I would tell you that what you are experiencing are only symptoms of the menopause it is not an illness cope with it I would not put you on HRT as this would increase the chances of breast cancer and I asked about the bowel cancer he replied everyone has the same chances.
Then my cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer. she gave a sample of her blood and we could begin the process of elimination with regards to the breast cancer gene. Unfortunately I did have the gene and glad that I had read the book by Martin J. Walker, HRT LICENSED TO KILL AND MAIM, which gave me food for thought, and the brains to question a top consultant.
who I felt that was carrying out his own personal trail as no one in my situation i.e heredatory as this seem to me very unethical. The consultants in the LINDA MCCARTHNEY CENTRE also agreed that in my circumstance if I did get breast cancer they would not know whether or not it would be down to my gene or the HRT.
